Hey guys. Christmas is just around the corner and everyone (well, mostly everyone) is in that generous giving mood that comes with this winter Holiday. Recently, I joined Pet Patrol as a volunteer and have been reading up on some of the events and things that go on with the program.

Pet Patrol is a group of foster homes that take in cats from the streets and overcrowded shelters or owners who just can't keep their feline friends any longer. This is all Volunteer based and is not funded by the government. With stray and abandoned cats comes vet bills. But we at Pet Patrol don't believe in euthanizing an animal just because they have an expensive allergy or is diabetic.

So we are asking generous and caring people like you to sponsor one of our cats that need medical care. This program is called "Commitment of the Heart" and there is a list of cats that are included in the program. Most of which are the sweetest of sweethearts but no one wants to adopt them into a forever home because of health problems such as diabetes, allergies, arthritis and other problems that can be quite costly to take care of. So I'm asking you to help sponsor one or more of our babies so they can have that loving and caring life that they deserve.

And if you are interested in adopting one of our cats, there is information about that on the website on the Adoptions page.

Why hello thar

9 min read
I am currently awkwardly sitting on my bed with my laptop ( which now has wireless internet, YAY) trying desperately to find a comfortable position to type. Still not used to this keyboard, though, I do (occasionally) know where Q, W, E and R are thanks to playing League of Legends a lot. xD

Hm.. updates updates...

Had yet another job interview.
Was turned down yet again.

This time it was interesting, though.

We were told ( it was a group interview) that if we weren't hired, we were welcome (and encouraged) to come in and ask why we were not hired. To get some feedback and whatnot. Which I thought was great.

However, I kind of didn't expect to be one of those people, but I was. So, I went in and asked why I didn't get hired.

Basically the reason was this: I lack individual personality and originality.
Except it wasn't put so harshly, but so far everyone who I've told who knows me has laughed because they don't think that's true. (Or they do and they find it funny it took this long for someone to tell me. Who knows. :/ )

But yeah, That kinda sucked. Since I really wanted that job.

Anyway, I got home that night and was sitting at my laptop when the phone rang. The caller ID had the store's name on it, so obviously I was like "OMG THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND!!!111"

Unfortunately, it was a lady from head office calling me to answer a few questions that I agreed to when I returned a ring. A mood ring, of all things. Had I been wearing it, I bet it would have exploded.

Anyhow, that was my adventure in trying, and failing again, to get a job.

I'm looking into getting a volunteer placement though. Sure, it doesn't pay the bills but it does look good on a resume and I can hopefully do something in the field I want to work in. Or volunteer in.

I am still on an active search for jobs, though. And I'm going into training sessions that will help me get the experience I need.

Which is cool because one problem I've found is if you don't have a whole lot of experience, you don't get a job. But to get a job, you need experience. And to get experience you need a job. See where I'm going with this?

"Oh, you want to work in retail? But you don't have experience in retail? Oh, sorry, does not compute." But apparently there are special class type training thingies that you can go to to get that needed experience. And they even put you in a temporary job placement too! Who knew?!

So that's the direction I am currently heading.

I still don't have enough in my savings to afford one months rent, let alone first and last, for my own apartment, so I'm still living with the grandparents.
WORDS CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW THANKFUL I AM. <- See that? I put it in CAPS LOCK and used bold lettering to prove my point.

I honestly don't know where I'd be without them. I mean, I'd probably have other family or something take me in, but, like, oh my god. Seriously. I've learned a lot from them already and I understand duties that I have to take care of on my own once I get my own place. Just 'cause Grandma washes my dishes now (Which is kind of okay and I don't feel AS bad because there's a dishwasher here xD but you get my point) and does my laundry, I know that when I'm on my own I have to do all that on my own. And probably without a dishwasher. Actually, probably most definitely without a dishwasher.

I keep having to check and make sure my blanket isn't burning, but I've made sure not to cover the laptop vents like the instructions said so it's okay.

I love my laptop, though. It's like my own personal heater with internet.

Now onto current current updates. Other than me sitting on my bed with my bum going numb.

I have the flu.
It started out as a cold, like... a week and a half ago?
I got that because of a combination of multiple causes.
A, the kid I babysit kept coming up to me and coughing in my face. But he's 3 so it's... well, it's not cool but he's 3 so I can forgive him and punch him in the nose if he does it again. (**NOTE: I do not punch or hit or kick or bite or physically attack children that I babysit. I may get urges to hit strangers' children but they start it. >_>)

B, I take Public Transit. This one shouldn't need an explanation, but just in case it does, I'll include one. I take the bus. Almost every day, several times a day. Thousands of dirty, snotty, sick, diseased, booger covered people are all over those busses every day. Thousands of hands touch the "stop request" button that you just pushed and more than two of those hands before you could have been picking their noses just before they did that. I say this because there is a guy on the bus I take in the mornings that picks his nose. And just thinking about that and all the germs on the bus is disgusting me and freaking me out so I will stop now before I never want to take the bus ever again and instead have to walk across the city.

C, It's flu season and as my luck would have it, I was supposed to get my flu shot this week. BUT NOW I CAN'T until the flu is out of my system.

And some other sucky stuff that I won't get into 'cause it's "girly stuff." Lololol.

ON TO GOOD NEWS!
Or I hope it's good news. It probably won't be in the next couple of years.

MY BIRTHDAY IS IN 2 DAYS and 54 minutes! (as I currently type this)
For those of you that don't like doing math (like me) My birthday is on Thursday November 11th.

I will be 21 :la:

Want to give me something for my birthday?
Well, there's a lot of things I want, but one thing I need desperately is money. As my goal was to be out of here and in my own place by the new year...

Don't want to just give me money?
Well, I will sell you a print (or more than one, that's cool too.)

(See how I did that? Smooth, huh? ;D )

Anyway, here's some print info. You've probably seen it in my previous journals but I repost it anyway because I want to sell prints.

Prints info:

There are contact sheets of prints that -I- think make good prints that can be found in the "Prints For Sale" folder in my gallery. More contact sheets may be added as I get more photos that I find are print worthy.

ALTHOUGH

you are more than welcome to request a print of something from my gallery.

So long as it doesn't cause privacy or publicity issues of some kind. (Photos of someone or photos of their pets. Though if you do want a photo of a pet that is in my gallery, ask and if it isn't one of my animals, I will ask the owner and get back to you. It shouldn't be a problem, though.)

Pricing Info:
I accept paypal as payment. Unless you can do that nifty online banking email money transfer thingy.
And if you live nearby then cash is cool in person.

For now, shipping on regular prints (without frames) is free.
Shipping on framed prints is $5

Prices:

Regular prints
4x6 = $10
8x10 = $15

Framed prints
4x6 = $20
8x10 = $30

THESE ARE NOT DEVIANTART PRINTS
These prints are printed by ME. (At a photo printing place)
This is better because I know what my photos are supposed to look like and will make sure they are SUPER AMAZING PRINTS.

Just FYI. :]

So if you want to order a Print, NOTE me with which print, what size, if you want it framed and your paypal thingy and address.
I will have the photos printed, note you with my paypal thingy and you can give me money and I will ship the prints to you!

All prints come SIGNED. By me, of course. :]

NEW SHIZ!
Because shiz is fun to say.

And because Christmas/Yule/Hanukkah etc is coming soon, I'm thinking of offering...
DUNDUNDUN

CANVAS PRINTS!
These are photos printed on canvas material at a professional photo printing store and stretched on a canvas.

Now, obviously, these won't come cheap, as they are expensive just to have done. However, they are strong, look great and are in general SO FREAKING AWESOME, you'd be missing out not owning one.
Or another one; if you already have one.
...You'd be missing out if you didn't have one of my photos printed on canvas hanging somewhere.

As I was saying they will not come cheap, but it won't be too expensive either, I just have to *gulp* calculate costs and what not - which surprisingly isn't as hard as I thought.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO MAKE CANVAS PRINTS AVAILABLE PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP SO I CAN DO SO BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
Because Christmas is a time when people tend to spend the most money on people and you should buy a print from me for someone. Or even yourself if you're like me and like to get yourself a present every now and then.

Anyway, if you'd like more information on CANVAS PRINTS leave a comment or note me or something and I will sit down with a calculator, a notebook, a pencil and quite possibly a coffee and figure out costs and such.

Bye for now and I'm going to try and update you more often so I don't rape your face with a wall of text.
Or maybe I won't just because I enjoy it. We shall see.
